Ignatieff; Living on a Prayer

Well Mike, I would disagree that you are "half way there", but without a doubt you are "living on a prayer". After watching Question Period today, I have to conclude that the leader of the opposition looks visibly nervous on camera. Early in his tenure he adored the spotlight, but now he realizes that the spotlight does not paint a very appealing picture of "Rasputin". You can now see it in his face that he has become afraid of the cameras and has lost his "mojo" (it is debatable that he ever had mojo).

Evidently they believe Logo-Gate is their winning issue. Forget that the government has done a fantastic job with the economic recovery and that Jim Flaherty might be the best Finance Minister in the G20; no, we need to topple the government because some PR guy pitched a bad PR idea. Seriously, if this is the most grievous controversy that exists right now, we are in fantastic shape!

Keep up the great work Mister Prime Minister!

  2. So with the "Rasputin" comment, do you hate Russians, half-Russians, or just like to sound like it?

  3. You need not play the racism card. I call him Rasputin because Rassy is widely believed to have led to the fall of the Czar of Russia. Iggy wrote more than one book about his beloved Russian ancestors who were in the Czar's government. That's why I call Iggy Rasputin. It has nothing to do with hating Russians, but a contributing factor to his ancestors fleeing Russia.
