Who is the best modern Premier?

Okay, to run concurrent with my poll of worst Premier, will be my poll of best Premier. The criteria were simple, I selected one from each province (sorry arctic) and that premier has to have been re-elected at least once in my lifetime. If you don't like the choices, don't vote. Some of you wanted Ernest Manning, but that was a decade before I was born. Too long ago for nomination.

  1. Just remember that of all the men on the new poll, I am certain that "kill him kill him dead" Scott Reid hates Mike Harris the most. That has to count for something! There was never a stronger opponent to CUPE than Mike Harris.

  2. Ralph Klein, for results and longevity. He was a shrewd steward of Alberta's resources, as Peter Lougheed had been.

  3. How can you possibly put Jean Charest in that list? He backstabbed PM Harper repeatedly, lied about the pension fund's losses on his way to a majority and is forever buying off radical groups so they won't demonstrate in the streets (they do anyway).

We haven't had a good premier here since Jean Lesage and possibly Daniel Johnson.
