Helena Don't Sue

I read in the Globe today that Helena Guergis is considering suing Air Canada for her temper tantrum. If she is indeed considering legal charges for her own childish behavior, I have to say that's an incredibly stupid idea and she will not endear herself to anyone even if she are able to win a settlement from Air Canada. I saw her testimony in committee today, and she appeared very distracted and unable to answer simple questions. Given everything that she and her husband have gone through, the best thing to do would be to resign her position as Minister.

Helena, do it for your family because your future as a politician is no longer paved with yellow bricks.

  1. That's insane. I don't understand the reasoning behind it. Makes no sense whatsoever. This woman is a piece of work!

  2. Two sides to every story....it's better to NOT do a pile on until facts are facts and not simply gossip and innuendo.
This is a case that deserves some common sense and balance. So far. that hasn't occurred.

  3. And if She resigns, do you think the Liberals will take their victory and be content?

Or, more likely, do you think they will be emboldened and go over yet another Minister?

They've already tried this crap with McKay, Raitt, Day, etc.....

  4. I disagree she is entitled as a Canadian to face her accusers who are hiding behind the Liberal and NDP parties in Question Period.

I am curious if the leak and lack of formal complaint process is hiding something like Wafergate.

The ugly truth please. I accept her apology for having a hissy fit, she is human and her voters in her riding may punish her.

The CPC is not going to take a lose an election by letting her face or expose her accusers.

Let the CBC and other media outlet claim privilege and protect their sources.

Let's play the redacting game, with the MSM what are they hiding by not investigating the source PART 2?

  5. I second that! The only way to repair the damage is for her to go.

  6. With both her career and personal life falling apart at the same time, she is not thinking straight.
No one needs a spring break more than Helena.

  7. Helena in one hand or terrorist supporters in the other hand.
I would take Helena any day that the opposition that support HAMAS, TALIBAN, AL-QAEDA, HIZBOLLAH,TAMIL-LTTE-TIGERS.
Iceman, if you think that the opposition parties are going to run this country on their own, you are sadly mistaken.
Trudeau gave the middle finger and no one said anything,
Chretien choked(attacked) a reporter; the media said nothing. Beer and popcorn liberal strategist said "kill him, kill him dead" and the media says nothing in fact B/P works at CBC.

The liberals stole from the nation that is not a problem but HELENA is. COME AGAIN!

BTW. a while back Dion said that when in government he will bring the taliban detainees into canada. Let me get this straight, the taliban are not asses fools like the opposition parties. what they heard is" a liberal supporter of 'taliban' detainees means to them that the liberals like the taliban period. And when the liberals do ever return to govern the taliban expect to enter canada period.

  9. So was Fife making it up or was somebody feeding him misinformation? Maybe it is my bad for expecting the Globe and Mail to check their sources. If she is planning on suing, that is nuts. I am not demanding she resign from parliament, but with the stress from her personal life it would probably be best for her and her family if she just prorogued things for a while.

And Jen, can you please clarify what you meant by "Iceman, if you think that the opposition parties are going to run this country on their own, you are sadly mistaken." I'm not sure what you mean.

  10. Maxime Bernier should be the new Minister of Women's Affairs. I'm sure the opposition would love that.

  11. Robert Fife making it up or is he being fed misinformation?

Two valid questions. If a senior CPC is trying to push her out why link fundraising, she's a diva?
Internal war among senior MP's for her post, is her post desrirable for career advancement?

My difficulty with the story we are being fed is looking at the many stories from MSM being fed and finding out how they were overblown or manufactured.

Did we lay a trap, for the media and opposition regarding the hissy fit?

Will the media circle their wagons and prevent their unnamed sources name to investigate for accuracy or potential bias?
