More Childish Question Period Theatrics

You learn something new each day. Today I watched Question Period and learned that Guergis and Jaffer are now the "Bonnie and Clyde" of the Conservative Party, followed by allegations that the federal government directly interfered in a Provincial prosecution (for which zero evidence exists). Then the MP ended her question with "is this what the Prime Minister meant when he said I get by with a little help from my friends, I get high with a little help from my friends?" Classy.

The Rosemary Barton Show ran the footage over the title "Jaffer Fallout"..

  1. So just what do Liberals want to accomplish?

Helena was elected with 55% of her riding and she did not get shuffled out last time, she aint going anywhere.
Rahim is a private citizen and is protected by the Charter, which the cops most likely violated.

I bet most every Canadian can relate to the stupidity of searching an MP for bombs and know someone who has gotten a break on their first offence.

  2. Marlene Jennings was one of the Liberals at the forefront in the recent "shutting down of parliament" crisis. Just think, while Canadians were watching the Olympics, we could have been taking in this highly intellectual debate.

  3. They should be challenged to repeat those allegations outside of the House. Bet they won't. I wonder why.

  4. If any Liberal bloggers or MP's come a calling let me say this, most Canadians have more class and dignity in their pinky finger than this spineless mouth piece. You should be so ashamed and hanging your head in disgust.

I double dare her to say this outside the HoC. What trashy human lifeforms these people have sucumbed to,vile garbage.

  5. Don't these people have a job to do?
They seem to think they're performers on stage.

  6. There is zero evidence of any federal interference in the provincial matter. I suppose the opposition wants to spend its time making pop culture jokes about a provincial fine instead of discuss the budget.

  7. As far as we know, there's also no evidence of any wrongdoing by Jaffer except bad driving. Yes he may have had something that appeared to be coke, but the cop sure didn't have a lab in the trunk of his car and we've seen nothing from the crown indicating there was a lab test. I've certainly carried around fine white powder in a baggy (polishing dust).
Likewise, was there an evidentiary breathalyzer or blood-test? Breathalyzers are notoriously inaccurate, which is why the crown needs a blood-test.
Until the crown explains their actions there is no way to know what really happened.

  8. I would prefer we have the cameras point to the empty Bloc seats during the opening O'Canada.

or have camera's catch ALL the MP's who interrupt and make noises during QP.

Let's expose the clowns from ALL the parties in reducing their boorish behaviour.

  9. Iceman when did the MSM, critics require evidence as a standard to attack this government?

  10. The one thing that nobody but paranoid me thought of was that Rahim was stopped because the inexperienced cop was racial profiling and perhaps was unaware of Rahim's standing in the community. Just saying.
