The Sarah Palin Reality Show

I saw on the news today that Sarah Palin is considering hosting her own reality television show based in Alaska, which begs the question what do you think it should be about? Will it be similar to the Apprentice, where she tests applicants, terminating one each episode until the last Alaskan standing is granted an internship in her political campaign? Instead of "are you smarter than a 5th grader" they could do "are you smarter than a Palin".

What do you think would be the best possible reality show for her? I will be accepting both serious and satirical submissions for a possible poll question. I think she has a fantastic future in television and I really really hope that this works out for her and that she has a LONG prosperous career hosting entertainment programs.

  1. 'Begging the question': I don't think it means what you think it means.

  2. I would contend that the expression has a much wider definition than your narrow context. In this case it is "assuming she'd be a successful reality show host, what would be the optimal subject matter?"

If the definition of "beg the question" is "assume truth in thing being proved" (as it says in my little oxford dictionary), you will see that my use of it is not out of context.

  3. I guess you are too busy writing to read anything. This whole scam was refuted within an hour of the first false speculation.

They are shopping a nature series featuring Alaska. It will give the nation's largest state the opportunity to be seen by the 48.

I am sure it will be Informative and entertaining and 100 percent better than some of the tripe on television

  5. She is not pitching a reality show, it is a documentary on what Alaska has to offer. Much different species but of course it isn't what you Palin bashers want to hear, is it?

  6. philosoraptor, I am writing a eulogy for my grandfather. I am not in the mood to debate semantics with you today. It is after all, just semantics. Different terms have different meanings to different people, and I am sorry if I offended your sensibilities.

  7. What will it be about? It will be about 1 mil per episode...nobody does the shimmy to the tune of CHA-CHING like $arah.

  8. Very sorry to hear about your grandfather.

Ignore my obvious attempts to provoke an intellectual fencing match. Not that I don't welcome a discussion of prescriptive versus descriptive linguistics, but you clearly have more important matters.

  9. Iceman - my sympathies re. your granddad. Hope he had a full and fun life.

Okay ... now, will you for heaven's sake give up on your animosity re. Palin? It just does not cut anything anymore. People are coming to realize in one big hurry that the Left had misled them regarding the mental attributes of Sarah Palin. Just goes to show that nothing you read from that quarter is to taken as even 1% correct and if it is a conclusion that you have drawn yourself that Palin is a dodo, than you better find a way to either enrich the grey matter in your skull or see about injecting some good brain cells to replace the ones corrupted with false assumptions of Palin.

Palin's documentary on Alaska is her own brainchild and the show will feature her entire family trekking across Alaska. It will do wonders for Alaska's tourism and will take Palin to unbelievable heights... nationally and naturally.

  10. For the record, I will tell you the story behind the drafting of this blog post. I was getting ready to go to golf and the CBC ran the headline Palin may star in a "reality TV" show. On the golf course I chatted with my buddy about possible themes. I came home and posted this. Besides nobody contributed any ideas so I never ran the poll. What did I say up there that was negative about Palin (are you smarter than a Palin notwithstanding).

And I have not been brainwashed by the left. Yes I watch the CBC, but I don't watch CNBC, NBC, CBS, CNN, etc and I don't read the Huffington Post or Daily Cos.
