This Week In Ekos

Does everyone know what time it is? It's Thursday, time for Kady O'Malley and Jane Taber to do their weekly columns analyzing EKOS polls. Jane decided to do a lengthy dissertation defending the embattled pollster whom she has used as the basis for dozens of articles in the past few months. Jane briefly discussed this week's poll (the last 7 days have seen a catastrophic decline in Green Party support), but spent most of her words trying to convince us that Frank is okay and that we should continue to read her articles that discuss Frank's polls.

Kady on the other hand, ignores the controversy around EKOS and does a lengthy micro analysis of this week's poll. Business as usual. I suppose a pollster being biased is not concerning if you share that bias, so it is best to stick your head in the sand instead of perhaps maybe just maybe start reading polling data from a company not named EKOS. Kady has put all her polling eggs into one basket, for months discussing only EKOS polls (which are now tainted). It kind of reminds of that scene in the Titanic where the Captain is at the wheel when the water comes crashing in.

I do find it curious that CBC would stand behind Graves and plow forward with polarizing partisan polling. There are lots of polling firms in Canada. You don't HAVE to use EKOS. You would think that once a bias is exposed our public broadcaster would find a new pollster, unless of course the good folks choosing their pollsters want one with a Liberal bias. Then it starts to make sense. Why else would you stand behind a polarizing figure whose job requires unbiased analysis?

  1. Both Taber and O'Malley are in denial. Both are so deeply stuck up their own backsides that they cannot see the need to amputate their dependence on Graves, for without him they would be completely lost, vacuous airheads - instead of just misguided vacuous airheads. Both have once again provided proof of their complete irrelevance.

  2. Neither of these bimbos understands what a poll is. In fact I doubt they have studied any math other than arithmetic

  3. I think CBC's reluctance to 'throw Graves under the bus' right away is similar to Harper's stalling on getting rid of Giurgis at the first howls of the opposition (and media). He did it in his own way.

Similarly, CBC's misplaced pride won't allow them to be seen to be doing the right thing and disavow Graves right away. He'll slowly be eased out and they'll be able to say that they've just moved on to use other pollsters (and then they can point to their previous statement that they use 'lots' of polling firms.

    Childish Leftwing goofballs.

  4. Excellent analysis. The tax funded broadcaster could voluntarily cooperate with the CPC members on the Heritage committee in contracts, emails regarding a potential for institutional bias.

I would be interested in having some Tories liveblogging the CBC producers.

It would only be fair to apply the same standard of natural justice, journalistic integrity, the CBC has demostrated on the wafer story -State Funeral, Somaila single mother (married, sister six inches height difference?), filming the dropping off of bodybags Sunday, single mother story, Rahim-Guergis, Taliban Prisoner Comfort policy.

  5. Cbc just has their backs up. Having a polling from Ekos is their way of sticking up for the Toronto Liberal party and thumbing their noses at the Conservative party and the west. Check out todays Power & Politics with smirking smiling nasty Rosemary Bartin.I don't think she is the brightest one ever hired by CBC but her Conservative bias must qualify her for the job. She tried her damndest to get Manley to say something against the govt. They gave Harper roses on the economy. her comment was "Wow, hard to believe your a Liberal".
Then we have CBC Georgie boy(Stophalopigus?) with Galloway on video , after Canada waiting for the courts to have him banned from speaking his nastyness in Canada. Then he said he has the "RED" seat waiting for him in the CBC studio. Time for CBC to be paid for view...let Liberals support it.

  6. CBC CTV G/M T/S are a clique together as one. A coalition of media in agreement to do everything in their power to ruin the Conservative government and will not rest until they accomplish their mission.

  7. Taber looks like a pudding face - O'Malley looks like a funny little gay guy - and their writings are worse than their looks

  8. Could they possibly be in cahoots with one another?
Could the M.A.D. theory be at play here?
    So many questions!
