Heather Mallick's New Job

Breaking news from Susan Delacourt's Twitter page, Heather Mallick has a new newspaper gig in Canada. Of all the newspapers in Canada, which do you think is most likely to offer a permanent job to this self proclaimed expert in the sexual inadequacy of the conservative male? You guessed it, the Toronto Star. She will be writing two columns weekly for one of the most politically biased media outlets in the country, so she shouldn't have any problems making friends at the office Christmas party. This is great news for Conservatives, as Mallick has a tendency to write absurd and vile things that makes her side look bad. Since the Toronto Star owns the Globe and Mail and CTV, we can probably expect Mallick to be shared among the family.

  1. Wow! I never saw that article - it sounds so inappropriate!

  2. So the Red Star trades in an intelligent, articulate writer like Rex Murphy for a shrill, elitist harridan. Anything this rag does should not be surprising, although it remains disgusting.

  3. Powell, Rex was canned from the Globe and Mail, not the Toronto Star; though the Toronto Star owns a very large stake of the Globe, so Torstar head office may have had to approve Rex's dismissal.

  4. There is an irony here. Stephen Harper has worked very hard in getting his MP's to focus on the issues and leave their personal beliefs at home, my own MP Cheryl Gallant is a perfect example of this, she's gotten better every year of just doing her job. Heather Mallick et all really hurt the cause they support every time they open their pitiful mouths, so, bring it on Heather. Each ridiculous word spoken by Mallick, Kennedy, Fry and Holland bring a few more average Canadians to the only centre party in Canada..the CPC. billg

What's with National Post, hard to find an article that isn't criticizing the government?

Wilson, you mention National Post, I guess they too are getting some threats as well to not print positive things.

  8. Another astute move bring in pundit who refers to a large group of American as "white trash" by the MSM.

For me E.May still holds the prize for dumbest move in 2010. Appointing an NHL player as her deputy leader.

    May’s McCain Moment?

Aren't they under new ownership now? That could explain it.

  10. Sounds like the Star is trying to shore up it's base.

As far as the NP....didn't they enter a news sharing agreement with the CBC a while back?
