Blogger Of The Year: Blue Like You

Last year in the race for Blogger of the year I endorsed Stephen Taylor. This year, I endorse Joanne at Blue Like You (though I do still really enjoy Taylor). BLY is easily the #1 blog among the Blogging Tories. While I generally oppose anyone who would pump themselves for any award (nightmares of Kanye West), in this case it is most deserved. I can't link her site directly right now because it is down for renovations, but there is a permanent link to her site on mine that you can use anytime when her outstanding site is back up and running.

In my opinion, Blue Like You is the best political blog in Canada.

  1. I agree with you and have voted for her. She had said she might be down for a while and could be accessed thru a former site, but forgot what it was. Anyone know what it was.

  2. Yep, Joanne is the best. BLY (and Climate Audit) got my vote and I intend to vote every 24 hours as the rules allow.

  3. Very good site - yours is pretty good too! I really enjoy your take on things, and your point of view is almost always right up my alley! For me, I'd vote for you, but you seem to want BLY to win - and that site is also one I look forward to every day... : )

  4. Jo's site is down for several days as she has to move to a new server, but she hopes to be back asap.

    Her old site is http://www.jojourn.blogspot.com/

  5. For MaryT & anyone else wondering about BLY, as Jad indicated, she's leaving some updates about her site on her old one.
    Joanne's updates:
"October 20, 2010 - The server at BLY is becoming increasingly unreliable. We are looking at different options. Thanks again for your patience.

Oct. 21, 2010 - The server will have to be changed. Hang on folks!"

I look forward, like many other visitors, to BLY's return.

  6. Spectacular endorsement, Iceman!

Joanne's blog (BLY), embraces everything that is great about this country, everyday Canadians.

It offers lively but respectful dialogue, impeccable research done by interested and engaged posters, friendship, real life support and encouragement from Canadians, coast to coast to coast.

Joanne gives up a huge portion of her personal life managing BLY and we should all tell her daily how much we appreciate that time and sacrifice because without BLY we would wish we had.

  8. joanne runs a partisan chatroom for like minded folks. it's hardly an example of excellence. she's good at what she does. that being said, she offers nothing in the way of critical thinking.

if there was a category for best chatroom for grumpy old ladies and unemployed losers ( like yourself), i'd vote for jo in a second.

  9. The turkey above sounds like a Liberal to me. You know you're getting to them when they make juvenile comments. The Liberal/NDP mind is bankrupt when all it can offer in rebuttal to Conservative ideas is insults, sarcasm, ignorance, and intellectual dishonesty.

  10. Haven't the Liberals been pushing a touchy-feely approach towards a platform on SENIORS and the UNEMPLOYED?

Maybe someone should inform the mouthpiece at 4:21pm that he sounds like every other Liberal that insults in private but finds a soapbox in public.
Then add that the Lib and Dipper leaders are older than anyone on BLY! haha
