Coalition Plot Thickens

The more we find out about the Coalition story of 2008, the more entertaining (and troubling) it becomes. Yesterday Gilles Duceppe said that he was approached by Jack Layton 10 days after the election about forming a coalition government and Gilles refused him. He would approve it if there was a significant bounty for Quebec, but he declined the invitation to officially join Jack's band of merry men. All that Gilles wanted to do was extract monetary gain for Quebec and line up for the photo-op. Also, he said that he was approached about a coalition 10 days after the election, where we had previously been led to believe that it all sprang up spontaneously after the government's fiscal update. As it turns out, all this was planned well before there was any mention of pulling the vote subsidies.

The story we have been fed by the coalition partners is not all it appears to be; there is more to the story. Over time, I'm sure we will find out everything we need to know...the whole truth.

  2. I'm willing to bet the farm, Jim is spot on, either we will have a majority Conservative Government or a majority Coalition Government after the next election.

  3. Not one of this msm media will dare go after Duceppe Layton or the liberals on the plans they have for the country. Duceppe will want billions without question for his unions and quebec- the media as usual will keep quiet.
If the media dare make the mistake of saying anything against Duceppe-Duceppe will expose the media did while the liberals were stealing from the public. That's done.

Layton the same, he will want billions for his union buddies and other wild projects of his- the media can't say anything because he just like Duceppe will expose the media to the public for what and who they really are-LPOC bedmates.

LPOC- well we already where the media lies with them which no secret.

One way or another the msm is cornered by any of two Coalitions leaders.

While that is happening, the conservatives whom the media harassed insulted ridiculed laught at, berated every day of life while they (Cons) were in government, will stand aside with the rest of the nation you know, the people whom the msm lied too, manipulated ridiculed for years- will watch while the media eat their cakes at the same time being cornered at every turn by the very parties they have been devoting, protecting.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that coming.

What about the famous sunday QP. who are the pundits going to attack- DUCEPPE? LAYTON? or LIBERALS?

  4. would somebody please expose the liberal/ndp players in this plot to usurp control of the country over to the seperatist bloc ? - we know Layton/Dion/Duceppe, but who were the operatives, and where are they now ? - we need to know to be able to watch their future skullduggery - and never do the MSM let the CPC off the journalistic hook when they get in trouble

  5. Well Ant Farm, Brian Topp was a major player for the NDP who wrote a book how we almost killed harper dead. He now writes for the Globe and Mail.

  8. Where is Rae's team?

The plot may have been summer 2008. Layton claimed on his telephone call he had the Bloc onside but they needed a crisis or Liberal patsy. The voter subsidy would bankrupt the Liberals was a poison pill to flush out the coalition. The coalition would delay his removal Dion and make him PM. Worse case scenario, the fall back would leave a big mess for next leader.

Dion was NOT in the loop of the back room chatter or channels to steal the election. He let the Throne Speech Pass giving confidence.

Fatal flaw. GG did not have a valid reason to deny PM his request.

3 legged stool - Math does NOT add up.
The Accord and signatures to honour it by the MPs and three stooges was too little too late.

GG on advice of PM (Throne Speech passed) granted prorogue

Bob Rae got thrown under bus by party for wanting to keep coalition alive. Dion was blamed for the bad deal.

Ignatieff has used coalition as a threat to secure Report Cards, better behaviour, did not work.

Now like Dion staring at the abyss will he make another bad deal and become the next patsy?

  9. frmgrl, "Weren't Chretien and Ed Broadbent involved as well?"

Yep! they were right there in the thick of things-I am sure there is a photo of the two standing behind the Coalition parties. Oh by the way, it is not msm anymore it is now coalition of media or media coalition.

  10. The GG also got e-mail from some of us who elected the CPC! We were enraged that our duly elected government would effectively be SHUT OUT OF POWER for 18 months during the worst recession in years. I am sure that the GG was also aware of public opinion in favour of letting the elected government stand, and the blow-back against herself and the monarchy, should she have rejected the request and been open to a coalition just after an election.
