Airport Security

Today's poll question; would you prefer a clothesless body scan or a genital pat down to ensure a safe flight? Are you okay with either? Do you dislike the measures but are willing to accept a hand job in the name of security? Or have the terrorists won and you are done with airports? I already have a flight booked for Christmas vacation, but I think I will drive next time.

  1. You need one more option. Actually pat down the people who are likely to do the bombing. El Al doesn't seem to have any issues. Profile actions and reactions.

  2. Until absolutely every person behind security is subject to the same degree of scrutiny, this is all just security theatre and a not-so-funny joke. And has been pointed out by others, the security lines are themselves an obvious target for a terrorist, whether via suicide bomb or just shooting up the place.

  3. Just more government intrusion. Another vote loser for Harper the Hypocrite and the Harper party.

  4. Went trough both on way to Hawaii. Not so bad.
what concerned me more was the lax internal flight security by Hawaiian Airlines - no checking of picture id before boarding flight. WestJet looked over our passports very closely and matched boarding cards to passport to computer.

  5. I went through the body scanner when I went to Vegas earlier this year, and I thought it was a painless and easy experience. It took less than 30 seconds for me to go in, get scanned, and wait for the "all clear" by the attendant. If that's all it takes to prove I'm not a risk, and continue on my way, then so be it. If someone is getting their jollies by looking at an obscure, blurry photo of my body then that's their problem, not mine.

  6. I would think that someone higher up would have thought of this.Just don,t allow a scan of the head area or face,if people are afraid that their scan will end up on you tube.I don,t know if they keep copies of these scans??Are these scans harmful??If not, what is the problem? If they are not harmful then everyone uses the scan,no ifs and's or buts about it.And that means everyone!!!!If you cannot agree to this then the next best is the Israel method of racial profiling.Just as a general question for public education.HAS there ever been a white person caught with bombs strapped to his or her genital or body area.?????
