Ignatieff Layton Divided

When Liberal leader Mike Ignatieff announced that he supported the Prime Minister's decision to extend our mission in Afghanistan in a reduced role without a vote in the House of Commons, evidently he did not take it to a show of hands in his caucus or among his would-be coalition allies. Jack Layton is furious. Not only is Jack furious, but several members of Iggy's own caucus are furious. If it went to a vote, Iggy may have a majority of his own caucus voting against him, which is why I don't expect to see him on TV demanding a vote on the matter.

I think it is great that he supports the Prime Minister on this because I do too. I just think it is outstanding that he risks alienating himself from his own allies for supporting the decision of a PM that he has worked so diligently to vilify.

  1. WE SURRENDER & RUN; TERRORISTS WIN

The weird concept of having done our share according to a timetable is an innovative and bizarre notion pursuant to fighting a war. What kind of world would we be living in today if Churchill and Roosevelt had cut, run and surrendered in 1944 instead of devastating the Germans in Normandy, and the Japanese in Saipan and the Philippines, as well as ending the German blockade of Leningrad? Fortuitously for us that these two world class leaders were not imbeciles like our current naive leaders.

Terrorists sympathizing politicians who are demanding surrender are informing the Taliban terrorists that to win the Afghanistan war all that is required is to patiently hang on until 2011 when our valiant soldiers will be commanded to retreat in humiliation. Left-wing politicians are further advising the Afghanistan people that they are being forsaken to the embolden terrorists who have obviously won the war. Canada’s far-left politicians are indicating to women and children that they will no longer be liberated, but will be victims of rape and murder; just like in the old days when Afghanistan was a breathing ground for terrorism.

If Canada surrenders we will be abandoning our heroic troops and informing the parents and love ones of our dead troops that they died in vain; their terrorist’s murders will never be held responsible. Canada’s far-left wing, terrorist deferential parties must amend their policies of refusing to support our Canadian troops. The extremists in the opposition parties must be persuaded that terrorism is not tolerable. However, persuading these morons may or may not be possible since most left-wing morons like Taliban Jack and Duceppe and their fellow lunatics insist on blaming society rather than their beloved terrorists.

War is not a hockey game that you play until the whistle goes after sixty minutes. By cutting, running and surrendering we will fortify the terrorists, vitalize Canadian terrorists, dishonor our dead soldiers, and place Canadian citizens in greater danger as Churchill and Roosevelt would have done in 1944.

Our government must leave Canadian forces in Afghanistan as support for the mission. We must demonstrate to Iran, North Korea, and other rogue nations that Canada has the necessary staying power and determination to win perilous undertakings. Secondly, As Canadians who did not participate in Iraqi Freedom, we must demonstrate to the US, our crucial trading partner, devoted friend, and guardian that we stand with them through hazardous times.

  2. Too bad Iggy caved since we could have had an election. If Rae wasn't with him on this issue, he would be in real trouble right now. But I have to say an election or a debate in Parliament on the backs of the morale of our soldiers is not a great idea.

Normally I would be for a full debate. But we all know how the debate will pan out - the opposition just trying to score points off the Conservatives, unfortunately.

Canada's far-left politicians are hypocritical cowards. They dream of rainbows and unicorns while these terrorists dream of death to the West, death to their own countrymen that defy them, the innocent women and children that arouse them and symbolic virgin maidens.

Instead of meeting these night crawlers head on, the Canadian far-left seriously believe that all can be solved with words and Kumbaya.
They have no concept that these people would just as soon allow them this luxury with an IED stuck firmly beneath their lower extremities.

Diplomacy for terrorists, only has an opportunity to occur when they are weakened to a state of submission. If they EVER have the opportunity to regroup and gain significant reenergization, all bets are off.

WHY do the far left NOT see this reality? Why do they not understand the culture of terrorism? Why do they support THEM and not their victims?
They denounce the heroes and applaud the cowards. Astonishing ignorance....
